The Ministry of Defence also held the rites of sacrifice. It took place on 9th June afternoon, at Surau Ad-Difa', Bolkiah Garrison.

Eight buffaloes and 2 goats were sacrificed and distributed to 150 recipients comprising the staff of the Ministry of Defence, including 20 military retirees and 30 new converts. The handover was officiated by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Hj Mohd Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence.
